If your bathroom door has a button lock from the inside and a little hole on the knob on the outside as seen in the above video then a screwdriver can certainly help you out.

The handle or knob must be jiggled to unstick the latch.
Check the alignment of the deadbolt against the strike on the jamb if the lock is difficult to turn when the door is closed or the door doesn t lock at all.
Use a file to widen the hole on the strike or remove the strike with a screwdriver and reposition it on the jamb.
Start by trying to push the lock button.
The knob will not turn to retract the stuck door latch.
You re going to need a screwdriver with a skinny rod because the thicker rod won t be able to fit through the hole.
The door latch is not extended before rotating the knob.
Use the screwdriver to push the opposite side of the doorknob from the door and latch.
If the locking mechanism is a latchbolt the kind of bolt that is spring loaded and has one angled edge and the angled edge is facing away from you you can hook it with a wire hanger.
More force is needed to turn the knob and unstick the latch.
Pull the spindle from the center of the latch if applicable.

Push and hold the button in.
Thread the screwdriver through the large spindle.
