To open a locked interior door with a screwdriver first push the screwdriver as far as you can into the hole on the doorknob. Angle the card towards the frame. If this doesn t work put a straightened out bobby pin into the lock. When you feel the resistance move and hear a click or more of a clunk the door will be open.

Determine the type of lock locks with a round hole in the knob on the opposite side of the locking mechanism usually. You simply need a straight stiff. To open a locked bathroom door from the outside place the point of a butter knife into the keyhole if it s a push button lock and turn the knife sideways. Then push the tip of the paperclip or clothes hanger straight into the hole and try to keep it as straight as possible.
