As the name suggests you simply push these fittings onto the pipes.
You can sand around the end to remove any sharp edges.

About half of the copper used in the united states which would include plumbing pipe and fittings is created from recycled copper according to the copper industry s trade group copper development association inc.
If the copper pipe has a threaded fitting attached to it you will need to remove it first.
As described above this fitting can accommodate a copper pipe on one side and a pex.
Pex s flexibility is great when you want to go around corners but bad when you need to stub out to a toilet or sink.
Pex is especially friendly to diyers who find the various methods of making connections much easier than soldering copper fittings with a torch.
And since sharkbite pex comes at a fixed cost plumbers don t have to worry about fluctuating daily prices like they do with copper.
